The Beauty of God's Gifts with Dr. Dean Wenthe
One Day Bible Seminar
After attending Concordia College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Reverend Dean O. Wenthe received the Bachelor of Arts With Distinction from Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana. His seminary training was done at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri and Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey. After returning to the seminary from the parish ministry in 1980, he earned advanced degrees at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, in the Hebrew Scriptures with minors in Judaica and Ethics. Dr. Wenthe joined the Concordia Theological Seminary faculty in 1971, first at the Springfield, Illinois campus, then in Fort Wayne when the Seminary relocated in 1976. He is a professor of Exegetical Theology and president emeritus of the Seminary, having served as president from 1996-2011. Wenthe also serves as president of the Concordia University System for the LCMS. Dr. Wenthe married Linda Marie Arnholt on July 26, 1969. They have been blessed with four sons: Timothy, Matthew, Joel, and Joshua. Linda Wenthe is a registered nurse.
