Question: John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. Since Jesus was the sinless Son of God, why did He have to be baptized by John? Perhaps it was because the Father wanted to publicly identify Him, but then was it a baptism of repentance?
Answer: Thanks so much for your question. I typically respond to questions like yours by way of an e-bulletin article, but since I believe I’ve tackled those questions in one of my podcasts, I’m wondering if you’ve already had the chance to listen to that?
